I didn't wait 24hrs to have the time set by satellite but it was easy to do manually. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the thickness of the clock. This is due to the use of D cell batteries which requires more storage space. Otherwise I like the look of it and it seems to work well.

I specifically needed a warm-tone, low light, digital clock, just because I have trouble sleeping, and I needed to be able to make a super quick glance at the clock if I woke up during the night, and then try to go back to sleep as easily as possible. A clock with a smaller display, which is analog, and with cool and bright lighting would be the worst choice for me, because a smaller and/or analogue display would have required a little more brain activity, which could have made me stay awake, and bright and cool lights also have the same effect of waking someone up. This clock has NONE of those concerns, and is just PERFECT!!! Plus, it's atomic, and I can't complain about that!!!! At first when I set it up, under 40W lights at my house, the backlight didn't show, even when I covered up the light sensor. So, I was about to be heartbroken, that the really great feature of a low light display, was not working. BUT, I shifted the clock to a darker part of the room, and VOILA, there it was the super low, perfect light setting!!!! I have not been as excited about an Amazon order like this, EVER, EVER, and so I put the clock up in it's spot on my wall as soon as I could. Wow, it was fabulous seeing it on the wall, the one clock that I really needed and could not find for a long time, it was like a miracle, lol, like my dreams came true. It was kinda expensive, and I do think the price should be lowered, but, this is such a well thought out clock overall, and I really appreciate it!!! I think this is a great bedroom clock for anyone who wants something inobtrusive, though of course it would work great in other rooms, too!!! I highly recommend!!!

Seeing that I live in Florida and the power constantly is going off and on I wanted a clock that I didn't have to keep re-setting like everything else (stove, tv, computer) :)
I started to look at the Atomic Clocks. I also wanted a clock that could display inside temperature. It seemed to me that the bedroom was much hotter than the living room. I searched and chose this clock. It arrived in a couple of days. The packaging was pristine. Not a dent, scratch or rip. I removed the plastic cover and the clock shined like a new penny!
I have to be honest programming was a bit of a challenge, hey I'm in my sixties...ha ha, but after sticking to it I was able to program it correctly. I won't need to set the timer to get up because I have my own internal clock that does the trick.

This clock is great for my eyes and I like how it lights up not too bright at night. Perfect. I have one at the office and one at home!

It was a little bit of a rocky start, for some reason it had a hard time connecting to the radio signal, but after a couple of days and some fidgeting it came around. Since then it has been hanging on the wall of my livingroom.

It is visible in any light and from any angle. And it keeps up with cell phones and computers in keeping perfect time, possibly better.
