Got it for my brother who has to remediate a dwelling with mold, and this one measures 1, 2.5, and 10 micron particles. At first I didn't trust the meter because it read so low on every reading. Finally thought of blowing a bit of cigarette smoke at it, and it went crazy! Crazy good, that is. I'm sure it will sense mold spores on that unpredictable day they happen to pop into the air. (In that regard, the humidity measurement may also be a handy number to watch.) At the very least, it will measure smoke from fires that are now plaguing some areas.

It provides accurate readings and is easy to set up. The exception here is temperature measurement which is wildly inaccurate, but not actually necessary. Battery life is quite short, so if you want to keep it running it must be plugged in

It works. Sometimes the formaldehyde reading goes cuckoo then settles after a few minutes. But otherwise, a good way to test PM readings in your rooms.
