I repurposed this antenna to receive weather images from GOES satellites. It is well built and easy to assemble. Works very well in this application even when covered by a heavy layer of ice.
Very Effective AT&T Band 2 Antenna

I purchased this antenna after searching long and hard for a band 2 specific parabolic antenna. After much research (more than I ever wanted to know), I found out that band 2 is the fastest in my area.
My home is a few miles away from cable, so I discovered that the best option was using a 4G LTE hotspot. I purchased the Nighthawk MR1100 and have one of the (recently) discontinued AT&T iPad plan. With the MR1100, it automatically selects which band it wants to use. Some of them provide better signal strength than others but might be slower. Band 2 didn't have the strongest signal, but it is the quickest. Since I can't lock bands, I didn't want a wideband antenna as I wanted it to focus on band 2.
My speeds went from around 10-20mbps to 50-60mbps. Huge gain! Not using any booster either, just a 30ft LMR 400 rated cable and adapters. I have the antenna mounted on a metal pole next to my house. Make sure you use high quality cables! Also, I have the MR1100 connected to a Nighthawk router and the onboard WiFi turned off on the hotspot. I get much better WiFi coverage this way.
In my ongoing quest for the best home internet with no cable, I might try out a MoFi4500 and lock it on band 2.
Signal quality according to the Nighthawk app went from around -110 RSRP and -18 RSRQ to -90 and -13. Big improvement there.
Overall, if you know that you need this particular antenna, it seems like a good one at a great price. No instructions included but it was pretty simple. Build quality seems good. I would certainly recommend.

Good antenna.

I ordered this antenna because I was trying to get a band 2 LTE wireless internet modem to work. While I can't verify the gain figures, it does seem to work ok. I say ok instead of well because I have had a history of antennas not performing up to specifications. This antenna, while not terribly difficult to assemble, wasn't a breeze either. It seems the parabolic section pieces don't fit together all that well. Once you get a bolt started, you can then get the holes to line up by tightening. This antenna isn't particularly sturdy. Mine was destroyed when a tree fell against my tower. I will be ordering another to replace it.
Hit that tower!

I use this antenna with the MR1100 hotspot. I went from barely on bar to 4 bars. Original signal strength was -118 now I maintain -91. I have utilize this antenna on many installations with the nighthawk configuration.
Great for 1900mhz ATT band

AT&T 1900mhz band use. I had a Flat panel antenna 14dbi and My gain went from 3 to 4 bars To getting 4 to 5 bars or -96 to -84. Currently mounted in Attic.
