Great kit despite some of the reviews. My first boat build though I do have experience with balsa/tissue airplanes. Keep in mind that 80% of your time will be spent on the hull and you MUST wet and bend each plank (in the direction it doesn't want to go) if you want any chance of it following the lines of the board above it. If you're OK with all that, have some fun!! I stained some of the pieces before assembly to add contrast. The anchors and compass are from a charm braclet. The chains are made from a necklace. This is a "Naxos" style trawler named after the Greek island they called port. Look it up for realistic rigging and such.

Only inconvenience is there are no written instructions. Only pictures , I am good with just the pictures however, not everyone is a visual learner.

I really enjoyed building this model.
For a very reasonable price, you have a challenging, interesting and enjoyable activity.
The assembly description is indeed not very clear, and I had to do a lot of guessing and I made some mistakes on the way, but it does not affect the overall result. I would say that it made it more interesting
The hull is quite difficult to build and required a lot of gluing and clamping.
I am very satisfied of the result as you can see in the pictures.
I would not recommend it to a beginner.
