So easy and the precision spout is what I needed! The bonus is the temp gauge!

I was very excited to receive this kettle from Amazon, having recently "invested" in some high end coffee. When the kettle arrived, I was delighted. It appeared to be well made. I washed it, and made my first cup of pour over coffee - delicious. What a great purchase ! Unfortunately, several hours later, I discovered the kettle was leaking (a slow leak) water around the base. Needless to say, I'm upset with this purchase and need to contact Amazon for a return. Perhaps I should have spent the extra money to purchase a Hario!

I was contacted by the seller and offered a replacement kettle after submitting photos of the leak. It took a little time and a couple of emails, but I received a new kettle. The seller was very kind, and wanted to make this right. Unfortunately, I originally purchased a stainless steel kettle, and the replacement is black (it's actually beautiful - I love it, and no leak)... I have a black glass cook top, and I like the look of the stainless kettle on the cook top much better than the black one I received as a replacement. I have let the seller know I received the wrong kettle. I hope I can exchange it. I guess sometimes things just go wrong.

Let me reaffirm. The seller has been kind. The new kettle is beautiful and works great - it's just the wrong finish.

Works pretty well for what it is. Steam for some reason blows out the perimeter of the lid instead of the vent hole's on top about 50% of the time and it makes a godawful horrid squealing sound that sends my dog running when it does it, but otherwise it's usable and doesn't leak water or anything. I have been using it every day for several weeks and it seems ok other than the steam venting issue. Not sure if its a poor fitting lid or just a bad design. Also would be much better if there was a handle on the lid that didn't get so hot so you could remove it for refilling without cooling it off first. If you don't pour cool water on the lid before prying it out with your fingers you'll burn yourself.

I like the design and the functionality of being able to do great pour-overs. Bad news is this is not rustproof. There are a few spots near the bottom seam where there is possible rust. FYI, nothing in tea kettles are really rustproof anymore. I like the fact that there is a thermometer so you can get the water as hot as you want. You cannot walk away and multitask - no whistle, etc. Also, DO NOT let the flame touch the bottom or it may permanently stain the pot. After each use, you must empty and dry the pot carefully. You can use a Mr. Clean magic eraser, but make sure it is completely wet to remote any staining on the bottom. That works well. My biggest complaint was when UPS delivered it to me in my hands without any external box packaging or padding, I was flabergasted. It arrived with a label-- with a dent in the box. Fortunately, the product was undamaged, but it could have been. No happy with the seller for not packaging it safely before shipping.
