This was beautiful when it arrived but it was too big for me. I had to return it. I tried to make it work like put my hair up but it looked better on me to have my hair down. I really wanted this to work since it was well made and I really was impressed when I saw it in person. But it just wasn't for me. This year for Derby Day (the greatest day of the year for a party with friends where we don't watch the Derby) I'm doing flamingo themed. I chose this hat to be a base where I'm adding my own ribbon and embellishments.
I sewed into the hat and it's a really sturdy hat. The photos show the bow from the from, but I have tried it one with it on the front and the back and is still comfortable. The color is stunning and looks like the picture.
