This is a well-built product, and I particularly like the extra set of squeeze buttons that helps to prevent catching your fingers in the pole holes. All good. What's not good is that most skimmers these days have an edge that is designed for scooping stuff from the bottom of the pool. This unit does not have such an edge. Major design oversight, IMO. I'm keeping it because I can use two skimmer heads, and I'll just use the other one for skimming the bottom. Otherwise, it is indeed well constructed, and I do appreciate the weighted net.

And I paid a little more, thinking I'd be getting a better product. Actually, I got this for my wife who enjoys casually skimming the pool on a pretty day. Me? I use the big bag skimmer when I do it; it's much more of a good collection device.

This pool leaf net is very well made. I love the weighted bottom and also the double netting on the lower side. I have only one issue, and I really hate to do this, because it is a very, very well made product. However, my previous rake had better performance in getting leaves and debris off the bottom. This is because of the lip design. The previous one had a pointed, angled lip that scraped the bottom in a way that made leaves come up and go straight into the net. The lip design of the new one is not as good, and almost half the leaves do not go in on the first pass. I drop it one star for that flaw.
