On a good clear night this telescope brings in some nice close up images of the skies particularly the moon looks fabulous. We have it set up on the balcony and I find myself peaking thru this more than my Son. Good affordable telescope for a beginner to explore interest in astronomy. There are some cool Apps out there to help locate planets!

Bought this for 10-year-old son and he loves it. He has always been interested in the night sky but has never got around to buying a telescope. This one is very easy to assemble. The images are awesome. It gives you a great view of the moon. It's a lot of fun on clear nights to see what's up there!

Finally set it up the telescope with my son after two weeks of raining and cloudy nights. Which boy never imagined to be an astronaut? However, it is much easier to reach a star through a telescope than a ride on the Enterprise. The moon is the first and best target to start the journey. See the Sea of Rain, the Sea of Serenity? You know we are always seeing the same face of the moon, but never the back. Want to know what is the tidal locking? Who next, Jupiter, Mars? How about Sirius? No the guy in Harry Potter. We went to the library the next day and collected astronomy books. I am sure someone in his generation will land on Mars. By the way, I had an app on iPad which helped a lot in locating those constellations.
