These lights do exactly what they say they'll do but they are very bright. Only use these for indirect lighting. I put them in the USB ports in my truck and I had to take them out because they are too bright at night. There are other brands that are more subtle and can even be adjusted for brightness.

I got 2 red ones. Considering it gets darker so much later thsi time of year, I have driven at night a lot. I like them and they are bright and true red. You can see the 2 LEDs in the enclosure/case/thing--kinda got a 2 dot thing going on. Fortunately they are not in my line of sight so it's not that big of an issue. These are relatively inexpensive but I still think the mark-up on them is probably crazy. Ultimately, if you got a few bucks, I'd go with it.
