Listen if you flat out don't want to get wet buy this. My last trip to Alaska was after moose on the southern coast. I've been on several trips up there and my "breathable waterproof" rain gear always failed me, alaska is no joke and is the last place you want to get wet. Well my trip was the proving grounds. 8 day hunt of downpour rains like I've never seen coupled with 2 back to back hurricanes. We hunting in it every day. I wore this over a pair of chest waders and stayed bone dry the entire time. Not only dry, but warm. Being that it is not breathable it 100% blocks the wind, water and heat from leaving your torso. Some may complain about it holding heat. I wouldn't wear it running or anything, but if you hunt or fish get it. It was by far the best purchase and I'll never go back there without it. 6' 200lbs bought the xl so it would fit over all of my hunting clothing. That fit great. If I was wearing less I'd go with a large. First review I've ever wanted to write. It's no breathable waterproof material, I found that to be my favorite thing about it lol
