So here's my review!!!! Very excited about the purchase of this basketball goal!!! The hardest part was digging the hole!!! Do not try and put it together in the air like the instructions tell u!!!! Assemble everything to the top pole while it's on the ground. If u are strong enough u can pick the whole assembly up and walk it up the ladder to sit it on the pole. If not get two ladders and two people and sit it on the pole. It's alot easier with two people!!!

We are loving this already! Though it did take my husband and me five days to do it. The first day was spent digging a hole 24 inches deep and 18 inches wide through limestone. On the 2nd day mixed the concrete in an older wheelbarrow that collapsed! 😂 We were successful and three days later we began putting together the rest of it. Our only complaint is that when we went to put the backboard on the 4 bolts already on the swivel head they did not line up. If we have been smart we would have tried it first on the ground to make sure they would. They were already soldered on it and it looked easy for us to just put it on over those 4 bolts. Nope! The holes on the backboard did not match up. So here are these 60+ grandparents on two ladders trying to lift the backboard over our heads and the swivel head would swivel down and the screws would only go in on one side. So finally I said let's get our 4x4 and stand in the back of it because it is stable and try to jimmy it on. It was easier standing on the 4x4 and we got a mallet to pound and get the bolts through. Probably not recommended but after much jimmying and pounding the holes got bigger and more lined up. After that was on, it was a piece of cake. The instructions are excellent. The pictures are true to size for all the bolts, nuts, etc.
We especially like being able to adjust the size of the grandkids. It seems to be very sturdy and we took the time to follow the instructions for the pole in the ground. It is not going anywhere I hope in our very high winds on Lake MI.

I've installed two of these. The second method I used was much easier. I concreted in the bottom pole as the directions say, but built everything else in the garage, adding it to the base pole once the entire top portion was assembled. BUY THE LIGHT! It is way cool!

Overall this is a good buy for the money, I do wish the pole was square tubing to make it easier to square up the back board to the driveway, I felt like the instructions lacked how to do that. The tapped holes in the pole sections can get cross thread so be careful. The hardware is mostly zinc plated so don't expect it to last that long. I didn't use a board as a spacer like the instructions say. I used a bag of paver base and tamped it down to form a solid base. Then I added concrete before adding the poles, be careful with the inner pole as it's only held on with 2 screws onto plastic spacer. Use cheap masking tape to protect the pole while adding the concrete inside the pole. The background I wish was glass but it's ok, the hoop does shake a bit and it says no dunking. Overall a good buy for the cost. It cranks down very easily but 8 year old daughter struggles a bit raising it.
