I have used this for a variety of horns(Shires, Hirsbrunner and Wessex) over several years and it has worked great for every one. I do remove it before storing my horn so the sweat and oils from my hand which have transferred to the strap do not damage the finish on my horn. Some tight fitting cases require it to be removed also. I am buying a second one so I don't have to transfer the strap between horns.
