At first, I questioned if the tent poles were flexible enough because they are made of aluminum. Yes, they are. Also, they are easy to slide into the sleeves on the tent because, unlike fiberglass poles, there are no larger diameter tubes which are needed to hold one pole segment to the next. Those larger diameter tubes catch on the insides of the sleeves as you insert them.

I've broken a lot of fiberglass tent poles over the years because of high wind, but more recently they just got old and shattered during setup. I'd never been able to find replacement tent poles that were exactly the same length as the originals so I tried these. They were only 2-3 inches too short, yet they work perfect. The aluminum is light and should be much more durable over time than the original fiberglass.

I've never had aluminum tent poles. These work really well, and I don't have to worry about them shattering like fiberglass. From time to time I use tent poles for projects. I take them apart and cut to length. The aluminum cut very easily with a tubing cutter, and the sharp edges are easy to smooth out. The flexibility of these poles is as expected. Same as fiberglass, if you need a more flexible pole get a smaller diameter; stronger pole = larger diameter.

I purchased these to replace a broken fiberglass pole for my family cabin tent. I've never been a fan of fiberglass poles and one broke during a camping trip with the family last year. These are the exact size and nearly the exact length of the original poles, but so much sturdier. I've weathered a couple storms and some heavy winds with that tent this year and no issues with these poles at all.
