For a little over $400, this chair was a bargain! Without any warning, husband required open heart surgery. The rule is, no pushing up from a chair using hands for 6 weeks, which was going to be impossible because of leg weakness. This chair arrived in less than a week, before he even got out of hospital. It lifts him nicely up to a position that allows him to stand without pushing. Reclines easily. Two side pockets to stuff the controls into, and two cup holders for a drink and the tv remotes. Easy to put together with 2 people. The negatives: it's clunky looking, like a lot of recliners; in reclined position, it's built for someone less than 5'9" (if you're taller than that, your feet hang over the edge too far). 4.5 stars, would recommend.

This chair is wonderful for my parents! I bought two of them, one for each of my parents. My mom loves the heat and massage feature. The one chair came with damage because of transport/delivery. The company immediately sent a replacement. I was shocked how quickly they took care of it! Highly recommended.

This chair was a little difficult putting the arms on the chair but I got it. The massage and the heat work wonderful, the remote is easy to use and I have back and leg issues and this chair helps me up without as much pain as it would be if I were to try to do it myself! I don't know what I would do without this chair! Everyone should own one or at least get the chance to try one out because that will definitely change you're mind about getting one. The price is so reasonable as well!

My husband and I bought this chair since I was having spinal surgery. I needed to have a chair that was going to be able to help me stand up from a seated position. My surgeon also said most people after spinal surgery choose to sleep in a recliner rather than a bed.

First off, my surgeon was completely correct and I slept in the recliner and on my couch for the first 2 to 3 weeks after surgery. Secondly, the chair did its job since I needed help standing up and sitting down. The mechanical functions of the chair worked perfectly, and it was definitely a smart purchase after surgery.

I only had two real problems with this chair, one it's a little narrow in the seat itself. The length of the foot rest is a little short for my legs. Mind you, I'm only 5'6" and my husband is 6'. His feet dangle off of the foot rest.

Otherwise, the chair is fairly comfortable. We haven't used the massage part much nor have we used the heat. Both functions work, but it's just not something we feel the need to use on a regular basis.

My father is full time care giver to my grandparents and he had me get one of these chairs for my grandpa. My grandma started to want to sit in it all the time so my dad had me get one for her. A short time later, both controllers for the heat and massage stopped working. The customer service was great and the seller very quickly sent him replacement controllers. My grandparents LOVE the chairs. My dad had me buy another one recently for my grandma to start sleeping in because she has too hard of a time getting out of her bed. The controller on the third chair stopped working but once again, the customer service was quick to respond and fix problems. My dad has now purchased three chairs because of how much my grandparents love them and how good they are, even with the controller malfunctions. Because my grandparents sometimes stay with my aunt, she has purchased two of the chairs for my grandparents at her house. She has not had malfunctioning controllers as of yet, but despite that happening, our family has bought five of these chairs. I would definitely recommend for elderly who have a hard time getting up and down out of chairs. They are also easy to clean which my dad also needed to help with the care of my elderly grandparents.
