You get two for a lower price than a single holder from other manufacturers. This is also one of the very few fishing rod holders that fits on an Avalon pontoon boat rail where there is a slight bulge in the middle that makes it wider than the standard 1-1/4 inch square rail.
The holders are adjustable left/right as well as angle to horizontal. The top part can be locked in place to be secure, or unlocked so that it can be removed and be out of the way when not fishing.
I've got these two attached at the back of the boat, and I'll probably add another two on the front.

The rod holder is perfect for my fly rods on my cataraft. The mounts were easy to mount and secure to the boat. The holder is outstanding and easy to position but I didn't like how the rod and reel bounced around in the holder so I got a piece of eight foot pipe insulation from Lowes for less than $4 and glued it into the holder with silicon. I then cut away the excess and the rod and reel fit in securely. I love it!

I have to say for a cheap rod holder it's one of the best, depending on what rail mount system you got on your kayak does depend of how easy it will to install, but hands down must have I wouldn't use it to troll sharks with but I sure use it to change my bait on my hook.
