Emergency Contraception

I have used the pill a few times before, however it has been after my ovulation phase when my partner and I had some unprotected sex (still took the pill out of precaution) No issues or side effects with the pill and my period came on time. Also to note, my partner did not ejaculate, but there is the rare chance of pre-ejaculate causing pregnancy! We otherwise use condoms.
Most recently, we had unprotected sex a few days before when I was anticipated to start ovulating. I took the pill within the next few hours after sex and did not have any side effects or issues. Interestingly, a day later I checked my basal temperature and noticed it was higher than my usual, but hard to say if it's due to the birth control vs ovulation. My cervical mucus does not indicate ovulation (which is a egg white consistency) and I'm only noting a more "creamy" discharge. The 2nd and 3rd day after, I had some mild cramps, but nothing major, and a bit of stomach upset, which are my PMS symptoms.
Will have to see in the next few weeks how it goes, but when you take the pill and at what point you are in your cycle will greatly matter on how the pill works and affects you. More updates to come!
Update:
My period came a little more than a week early, so can confirm this does work if taken as soon as possible and prior to your ovulation!

I had no side effects...no issue with swallowing..and didn't end up pregnant. Oh and my cycle wasn't thrown off track either. It came right on its scheduled time.
Beware hormones

It does the job but when taking this compared to plan b I get very bad hormonal imbalance. So just a heads up to anyone who wants to take it.
