I LOVE this dress. I am 5'8" and weight about 195 pounds. I bought an xl and the corset is really big. I wish I could get it tighter but I'd rather it run big than to small. It's honestly a pretty dress but I don't think I would like it as much without my belt on it.

Halloween costume.

I want to start out with this; I read other reviews and made purchases off of that. I was still not expecting much, since it is a "costume" piece. However, I was not disappointed. I got many compliments on the quality of my costume. It arrived on time, with nothing wrong with the package. The dress is weighty. Which is a good thing. I was pleasantly surprised by this fact. When I took it out of the packaging I was expecting to see a very costume-y piece...but the dress has great weight to it, the lace it thick and feels very high quality, and the thing that I did not expect at all was the heavy chord ties for the corset portion of the back! I liked this "feature" if you will. That made it seem a lot better quality to me.

One reason I took one star was because I should have fit snugly in an XXL. I had it tightened ALL THE WAY. That is my only complaint. I would say going down one or even two sizes. I would have sent it back and gotten a smaller size, but I did not have enough time before my event. I am going to keep it and see if I can have it maybe taken in a bit, since I do like the dress regardless.

I originally got this dress in a medium, but had to return it and get a small. XS is sold out, otherwise I'd get that knowing what I know now. Around my bust it's perfect, I'm a 36B and small fits me great here, however I have a 29.5-30" waist and It's still pretty large there and I have to tighten it to the maximum allowed by the design to get it to stay. The corset aspect of the dress is merely an illusion, to an extent. It DOES have ribs, but they're not too too solid. They're there, but they're meager. It won't cinch like my other corsets, but for what this dress looks like when it's on me I can't get rid of it. It's beautiful! It flows, it's comfortable, it's convertible (on the shoulder or off the shoulder). I would say this dress is entirely worth it, but size DOWN!

Dress is very beautiful, good quality. A little on the long side so I wound up trimming the tulle train and using it to make a veil for my hair. Ran a little bigger than expected. My only real complaint is that the corset while very pretty is not a very functional corset. I like to be able to tighten my laces tightly and really cinch my waist in, but it's lacking the structure to effectively do that. Even at its tightest my waist looked very close to my natural waist, but the way the colors are placed is very visually slimming and gives the illusion of a slimmer waist line. Corset is more for looks than function, I added a black belt to help it a little. On the plus side it's extremely comfortable so if you want the look of a corset with a lot of comfort this is a great costume for you. Worth the price.
