Good upgrade for Razor MX

Pretty good little upgrade for a Razor MX500. Installation was not too bad. Had to recess the head of two of the motor bolts as they were hitting the mounting bracket on the bike. Then had to cut off the extra length of the bolt that was sticking out the other side of the motor. Also had to cut off the aluminum mounting bracket on the motor as it is not needed and was in the way. Everything wired up pretty easily. Only little issue was the plugs on the controller for the brakes did not match the plugs on the brakes themselves. No big deal, just cut the plugs off the old controller and crimp them onto the new one. I paired this kit with a 48v, 18ah LiFePo4 battery from eBay and the bike goes for miles. My kids ride for several days without recharging. I am 200 lbs and it will pull me up to 26 mph on flat road.

I knocked a star off mainly because they don't seem to provide any real documentation, and keep referring people to their Amazon listing for instruction. At this price I didn't expect a lot, but it is working exactly as they described. The wires have mating connectors except for power to the motors or from the batteries. Connectors were all labeled as well. In my build reverse seems to be about 1/2 to 1/3 the power of fwd, and I am checking with the vendor to see if that can be altered.

I was all set then relized the motor spun clockwise, no big deal i thought.
I'll just swap the phase yellow and blue like my RC car motors, no dice...the motor would not turn. After some faild online searching for a solution and emailing the manufacturer in china, i came across a video from India which said to (in Hindu) swap the green and yellow Hall sensor wires on the motor connector and swap the phase yellow and blue ..... brilliant, works as should but counter clockwise. So far so good, haven't had a load on it yet but everything works!! Would have been nice to include those details in the instructions as an option, it would sell more and save some time.
Update 4.7.21: still going strong with some heavy abuse by the kid and myself. Definitely the motor to go with for dependable fun.
Wish they made a 5000 watt application.
