My cat likes it more than I expected
O. Albretsen✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 2, 2023
I'm very happy with this product. I was a bit nervous about my cat exploring it once or twice, then forgetting about it, but he's constantly used it since I got it. He loves to curl up on that circular shelf with the "backrest," and spends most of his time there, but the rest of the tree gets plenty of attention as well.

He still climbs to the top and hangs out in the house from time to time. That ball toy is a favorite for him and he often bats it while sitting on the circle rung (even though it's right under him). He's used every one of the scratching posts frequently as well. The only aspects of the product he hasn't used much are the long piece of string and the ladder/hole, which seem to be designed more for small cats/kittens, so him not using them isn't exactly a problem.

The product was obviously sent in a box with all the pieces separate and quality instructions on how to assemble it. Because it's so large, it took a bit of time, but wasn't difficult or frustrating.

Overall, a high quality product that I would definitely recommend for cat owners.
the balls are dangerous; leave them off

The media could not be loaded. We had this about 10 weeks, when our kitten's tail got caught in the toy with the elastic string and ball, as she jumped down. She was trapped, hanging by her tail, crying like she never had before. I don't know what would have happened to her, if my wife hadn't been right there to free her. So, I urge you to not connect those toys, or don't leave them connected when you're not around, at least.

Aside from that, our kitten loves this tree. It's held up pretty well, although little bits of fuzz come off where she uses her claws on the carpeted parts. She likes to do bunny kicks on the ladder. Also, she has gotten big enough to get her claws above the rope part of the scratching posts, so the carpet above that is starting to come off. The top tower started to come loose, so I recently had to tighten that bolt. She likes to climb all over it, and all of our other furniture, too. Overall, we're very satisfied with it.
Small cats only

This cat condo is slim even though it appears sturdy. There are two errors in the instructions. 1. Box 6. They indicate that screw W1 is to be used. However, there were only five W1s in the packet but two W3s. The W3 fits this instruction. 2. Box 7. The instructions indicate the rope insert to be turned clockwise. It won't screw in unless it is turned counterclockwise.
My kitty weighs 8 lbs. This structure is a fit with no wiggle room. The area that holds the box in content "D" would be better suited for jumping cats if the area outside the box were just a few inches longer.
Mostly good for larger cats

Assembly/packaging
This probably took about 15 minutes to assemble, at most. The only part I had to pause on was which direction the first step goes, and it's pretty clear which way in the photos. Packaging was good, and it arrived looking in tact. There was, however, a slight dent/some damage to one of the top platforms, but not enough to be a major problem or noticeable when assembled.

Use
Using the catnip provided, my cat was intrigued by the piece enough to use almost immediately after I finished assembly. It's hit or miss for me with new toys/furniture for my cat, so good design in that respect.

My cat is pushing 15 pounds and isn't necessarily "chonky" but has a big frame and wingspan for a tabby. He can fit and comfortably maneuver most aspects of this tree, however, it's unlikely he'll be hanging out inside of the box/cubby portion of this (which is fine with me). He fits comfortably on both top platforms and enjoys loafing on them, especially when I'm not home. He loves playing with the rope whenever he has the zoomies. I haven't seen him solely use the scratchers but fingers crossed that he starts in time.

Quality
Even with his size, it doesn't move or seem unstable when he is playing on it. I was pleased to see the rope is also screwed in. I've seen cat towers that expect you to tape the toys provided, and it makes me wonder if they've ever had cats at all. The materials are on the cheaper side, but my cat loves this fake fabric/faux polyester type material.

Overall, the ease of assembly, stability/sturdiness of this for something not mounted to the wall, and the price? It's tough to beat this.
Good sturdy tree

My cat has a tree in basically every room of my house at this point but she does really like this one. It's sturdy, she likes the options of platforms at different heights. My only small issue with it, is that there is a hole right under where she plays with the rope"¦ until she got used to the new tree, I can't count how many times she fell into that hole while playing and had to claw herself back up or get down and try again
