Monitor has died after THREE months of use BUT EXCELLENT customer support

UPDATED:
We reached out to EUFY support a week after leaving the original, upset review (it took that long to find the original box with the warranty info and support email contact). EUFY support responded quickly and were gracious enough to send an entire replacement order (we had only requested a replacement monitor--essentially they threw in a free camera for the hassle). The new monitor was able to connect to the first camera that we already had installed (just had to press the SYNC button on the camera and go to the 'add camera' function on the new monitor).
I will update this review in three to four months time to confirm that the replacement product remains in working order.
Purchased in July of 2022 in preparation for the birth of our first child in December 2022.
Was easy to set up and worked marvelously as what I'd describe as a 5 star product until last night (late March 2023).
Don't know what happened; had the monitor on my nightstand and woke up to the baby making some serious noise--not through the monitor, but through the house! Rushed to take care of the little one and upon further inspection, the monitor was powered down... normally I have quite a lot of battery left after one night so I plugged it in and went about my business. When I tried to turn it back on, this is all it does... (see image) it never fully boots. No idea how to troubleshoot this. Came to the Amazon page for a customer service email but seems leaving this rating is the only forum of communication available to me.
Willing to believe it is just a random fluke of this particular device but even a 5 star product that gives up the ghost after three months is now a 1 star product in my book. If y'all care about word of mouth sales, I'm the first in my friend group to have a kid, just sayin'.

We like that it picks up clear footage. We are bummed that the monitor doesn't hold a long charge. We can get through a night with it and have to charge it in the morning.

I never realized that baby monitors were so out of date with current technology until i had my own child and started looking into these... All those motorola ones and the infant optics, its all crap and looks like the same model of technology we used in 2002. Just terrible. Then i ran across the Eufy and it was only a few months into the market when i found it about a year ago and it is the best monitor available, hands-down! Granted i never looked into the wifi enabled baby monitors but i didnt care to and chance some weirdo hacking my system or have to worry about finding a decent wifi connection at friends houses we traveled to, hotels, etc.
I'm a big advocate of doing my due-diligence and reading reviews prior to purchasing stuff, and i must say that was the key selling point for me & getting the Eufy SpaceView over others. 97% of the reviews about customer service were exceptional and i experienced that first hand myself! After almost 1 year of having the monitor the disply screen battery wasnt holding a charge and always had to be plugged in; i emailed Eufy Customer Service and they responded back within 2 hrs asking for some more details like shipping information, serial # and receipt. I sent that over and within 48hrs they had already shipped me a brand new device & camera at no additional cost without question!! Now THAT is customer service and i genuinely appreciate that!! Customer Service is actually the reason i went from a 4.7 to 5 star rating.
So i wanted to leave some truly honest breakdowns in this review I hope you will find useful:
1) The picture quality can obviously always be better, i mean we are used to looking at retina-display laptops and 4K 70+" TVs so relax people... Don't know about 720 resolution all the time as described, but night vision mode is great and this picture is much better than the other monitors so don't try to compare (because i already did with MANY friends and cousins and it didnt work out for them; they actually ended up buying the Eufy as either their primary or travel monitor because of it!)
2) I can personally vouch for the range on this bad boy; we go to my in-laws lake house all the time and I KNOW it travels more than 450ft in open air for sure!! Hell, it takes me 15 minutes to walk back up to the house from the dock just to get to his room so the range is not an issue IN OPEN AIR. However, i will get some dropouts in our bedroom and on our back porch at home but even bluetooth will drop on the other side of our plaster walls from this old house so its not surprising. It will drop for a 1/2 second and reconnect so its not an issue.
3) Range of motion in the camera is exactly as they describe, its great and doesnt make any loud noises or anything to wake your baby (not like they can hear anything past the obnoxious blaring white noise machine anyway) :)
I have not tried the additional wide angle lens yet as i have not had the need to; maybe when he is a toddler but cant comment on that so far.
4) Battery life is great; pretty sure it doesnt go to 15hrs like advertised all the time, but i also have my screen brightness on the highest level majority of the time and the visual picture is always up. I prob should try to turn the visual screen off and use just the audio, but then i'd have to listen to that damn white noise again so i choose the latter.
5) Tried the alerts when we first got it and he was weeks old, but didnt really care for it as i found myself constantly checking it anyway and just watching him (i know, weird new dad overwhelming joy) so never found the need for that either., Nor the built in 5 lullaby's you can play through the camera. I did however try the 2-way voice control and it works, but that is limited to like 30ft or something. Once again, don't use that feature enough to comment on it and i may when he becomes a little older, but not as of right now.
6) Zoom feature is nice and works fine; nothing extravagant about that.
That's pretty much all i have right now and sorry about my rant; too much coffee this AM!
Anyway, for the price point, quality of products and customer service that comes with it, 100% this product cannot be beat as of today!!

This monitor doesn't require Internet connection or a subscription and has a far range (as long as you are within your house / or outside in your balcony.).
Things I love about this monitor:
1) Portable monitor that doesn't need to be plugged in and has a long battery life if charged correctly. (Camera needs to be plugged in) .
2) Very clear day and night vision that even come with zoom in and out options.
3) You can control the camera angle and move it around remotely with buttons on the monitor.
4) Volume of the monitor is outstanding !! (I have had previous baby monitors and I can barely hear a thing.) You can control the volume and it can get loud if you need it to esp if you are hosting downstairs.
5) Realiable- you're not having to rely on wifi or reception/internet so it never cuts out as long as the camera is plugged in!
6) You can communicate to the camera with a button and speak to them. Example: tell them to go back to bed or just to comfort them!
7) Design is sleek, easy to pack and very portable for travel. I use this for both travel and daily use. It's been 2 years, still going strong with no issues.

I originally bought this brand camera two years ago for my first child, unfortunately after about 18 months the monitor itself stopped showing the feed, I could hear audio but nothing else. We decided to try another brand and see if it would last longer....well 3 camera brands later, we bought this again. It has far superior picture than anything we tried. FAR superior. The night vision isn't crystal clear, but clear enough that it's mounted across the room and I can still see exactly where my babe is in bed. The picture when there is light in the room is just about perfect. The second best feature is the movement. I can see her ENTIRE room, not just a slot of space. I didn't realize how important this was to me until I didn't have it. Also, the monitor itself has the time on it and with a small child, it's super helpful to be able to see that in the monitor without having to check another device when I'm half asleep. The audio on this has much more capability as well. Other brands have less range. I'm a light sleeper and I don't want to wake up to every single noise, so it's nice to be able to choose a range that won't wake me up unless it's a louder cry.
My only complaint is with the previous one we had (the monitor malfunction), but it's possible we had a faulty monitor...or maybe they aren't built to last. It definitely would've been more beneficial to only have to buy one camera system that would outlast all our kids, but that wasn't the case. It would also be nice to have the ability to buy just the monitor instead of the whole system. I considered doing that but the ratings were terrible and it was only a $30 difference - not worth the hassle.
In closing, after trying a range of cameras from lower to high end, this one is a clear winner. It checks all the boxes on what we need and exceeds others on the market. The options it has, it does WELL.
