Pretty nice

I wish the drawers were a little deeper but they're good enough for my purposes. Sometimes when you pull open one drawer another wants to open with it but all in all it's a nice drawer system.
Useful but not high craftsmanship

I bought this after ordering the 3 drawer set to store soft pastels in. The quality of craftsmanship is okay but could have been better. There were areas where a few seconds of sandpaper would have got rough edges off ( I did that). Also the level of gluing decreased as you go down to bottom drawers. And it is glued together all of it. I took out the dividers in the sides and left middle ones for support. Very easy to do it you cut the glue at a angle down and slip a pallet knife under the wood. The dividers aren't in a deep groove.
That being said, it was a good option for me, I am enjoying using them. I will use them gently. The pastels I have in there are Richardson hand rolled, Rembrants, Omison and Blick square sticks. I got a lot of them in there. I need to check the drawer before I shut it to make sure none are sticking out.
The three drawer set was better made. I wish the drawers were a little deeper, and the dividers fewer or optional to stick in. I am saving the big drawer for the Ludwigs I hope to get soon.
I am glad I have them, but I may order a different brand if the sizes are the same to see if the quality is any different. But I think I will have these a long time.

Better than expected but pricey

I have a lot of colored pencils that I use for my job. For a while I used a single Prismacolor Premium 24 pencil set but I needed some more colors & was tired of endlessly blending. I bought an off-brand 180 pencil set (complete overkill). While both sets have metal tins, it takes a lot of space to store them & getting to the right color(s) was a pain. This solved that problem & then some.
All of my pencils fit perfectly in the drawer - along with all my graphite pencils, a crappy set of colored pencils I forgot I owned, & then some! The center of each drawer has a smaller section in the center. It's the perfect width for pencil sharpeners, blenders, erasers, etc. (see pics). I was initially a bit annoyed by that tiny center section until I realized how useful it is to have them overall.
Given some of the reviews, I wasn't expecting much from this in terms of quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality. Yes, as others have pointed out, I had one drawer that pulled the drawer beneath it open. Like others have pointed out, I just rearranged the drawers until I was able to open each drawer without affecting the others. It took about 5 minutes. That said, for the money, no one should have to do that.
The unit is NOT unfinished wood. There is a finish coat on all the outside wood (drawer faces, handles, outer box). The base of the interior drawer looks like MDF so a finish coat isn't needed. The dividers looked to be unfinished but that's not a thing I personally care about & it would be a waste to put a finish coat on this in my view.
The dividers are fixed into position using wood glue. For whose who may want to remove them, be warned that it won't be easy & it will be ugly. You'll need to get some flocking or very thin felt sheets to cover the base. I do a lot of wood working & I would suggest finding another product rather than spending $50 on something that doesn't meet your needs.
At the top & bottom of the unit are 2 pieces of wood. Initially I assumed they were positioned so you could easily stack multiple units on top of each other without them sliding off each other when you open the drawers. Oddly that's not the case. The top & bottom wood tracks are in the exact same position, meaning additional units would balance on on top of very thin wood pieces. The bottom wood pieces should be positioned closer together which would allow for multiple units to stack nicely. While they wouldn't 'lock' into place, they would nest nicely allowing you to pull drawers open without having to hold the whole drawer unit in place. With it's current design, I can easily see that will be a problem if I buy another unit. Since it's a super easy 'fix' on the manufacturer's side, I don't see why they wouldn't have thought of it. It's a missed opportunity in my book.

Not bad

This seems to be a knockoff as it is not as well built as the 4 drawer ones that we purchased earlier from Amazon.
Sanding necessary
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•July 19, 2023
Looks lovely and I was fully ready to be one of those customers that say, " Oh, everything is perfect!" But after playing switcheroo with the drawers for about 15 minutes, the sander will be required. I could have turned it upside down and the drawers would have not budged. I'm sure it will be more than adequate once I get the edges filed down. I almost was afraid I would break the drawers trying to get them out of the slots. Shameful quality check. This is how far in the drawers will go in with out a fight. Will hit them with the sander tomorrow. It's a shame people don't take more pride in their craft.
After a TON of sanding on the tops and sides, the drawers do fine. I also removed some of the dividers because they didn't work with my needs, but works great now.
