I like leaving my front door open and the security door screen openings are big enough that sometimes small gnats get thru. And it's unavoidable to periodically have a fly or other insect sneak in when the front door is open. I haven't owned a regular fly swatter in a long time and I'm always looking around for a newspaper or something I can roll up to try and swat the little buggers. Finally I decided to bite the bullet and buy a fly swatter but saw these electric ones that are now being sold so I thought I'd try the ZAP it.

It was easy enough to charge and seemed to charge pretty fast. Naturally I didn't have any bugs flying around the house for a few weeks, but then I finally got a chance to use it. It took a little getting used to having to push the "ON" button with your thumb to make it work before swatting, but it definitely works well. The greatest thing about this unit is that you only have to make contact with the bug, you don't have to smash it. And while it doesn't always kill the bug, it stuns it so it falls to the ground where you can finish the job.

I wish I never had to deal with bugs flying around the house, but this is more effective than a regular fly swatter. It stays charged a very long time. I have never had it lose a charge, but I charge it a few times a year just to make sure it is always ready when needed. The only bad thing is you can only swat flies out in the open. If a bug flys behind the blinds, I would not swat the blinds with this. And if a bug is sitting on a counter, I try to come down over the bug to zap it when it takes off, but not swat it on the counter itself. I took off one star because I really only need one and don't like the extra expense of being required to buy a two-pack. But I gave the other one to a friend who is also enjoying uses it and finds it very effective.

Touched it once and I'm still recovering from it while doing a backflip. The zapper can't one shot a fly though.

I love these zappers because they give you two of them and the price is reasonable. I bought a lot
of seeded water melon almost almost every three days because I was eating them fast and their hard to find in my area. However the watermelon drew a lot of Fruit Flies and caused an infestation of them Moreover, I don't know what I would had done without these particular zappers that helps me with the
warfare between me and the Fruit Flies

Flies in my home and on the porches. The flies must have seem the device and are less prevalent now.

I love these! They work well on small bugs, but they are very difficult to kill flies (especially house flies) with. But they're great for bugs like gnats, moths, wasps, stink bugs, etc.. I rate it 4 stars only because it's not efficient for flies and that's mainly the reason I bought it - you're better off using a fly swatter. But once you kill bugs, it gets addicting.

Be mindful when killing stink bugs because they will stink horribly. It also doesn't hurt to touch if you zap your finger. Not that you should be doing that. 👀
