This cell booster appears to work as stated by Hiboost. I had zero to one bar of signal inside of my house and about two bars of signal on my roof prior to install. After install, I am getting two to four bars of signal inside of my house depending on proximity to the indoor antenna. This unit is really meant for only a couple rooms but I am even getting signal now in rooms I didn't expect to have improvement in. The install was easy, however it would be nice to have a longer return window. I purchased the unit in January and we got hit with ice and then snow before I could get on the roof to mount the outdoor antenna. I was concerned as my 30-day return window was up before I could install it and verify that it did work. After a warm period arrived, I was able to get on the roof safely to install the outdoor antenna. The after service tech, Liam was checking in weekly from date of purchase to see if I had it installed and working. After I finally had it installed, he checked in again and verified it was working properly from photos that he had me send to him of the booster display. I can't be more satisfied with the tech service! Prior to purchasing this unit, I had an estimate of close to $2000.00 by a local company for the sale and installation of their system. I saved a ton of money purchasing and installing this unit myself.

Okay, first I have to say that I am VERY happy with this purchase. It gets five stars from me.

Now, I'll give you my story. When we first moved to this area, the cell phone signal was great. But, over the years, it's gotten worse and worse. The explanation I got from the carrier was that they couldn't keep up with the population growth and get enough bandwidth to provide decent service to all the customers.

Central Texas has been booming. None of the infrastructure is growing fast enough to meet the needs. Our cell phone service provider is no exception. It got to the point where we couldn't rely on our cell service at all, in our own home. We had to carry our cordless land line phones with us all the time. It was very frustrating.

Based on my brother-in-laws experience and recommendations, I decided to try a signal booster. After doing WEEKS of research, I decided on this one from HiBoost. It took me a while to decide. These things aren't cheap.

The installation and setup of this system is complex and requires a good amount of work. If you're not technically inclined, a regular handyman and able to climb ladders, roofs and do a lot of physical work, I recommend you get someone to do this for you. I'm 68 years old. But, still very physically active and very handy with tools and technical projects. So, I was able to do it myself.

The entire kit is very well engineered, designed and built with top quality materials and components. The one thing that they don't include is a roof top antenna mast. There are several economical models available on Amazon. I was fortunate that my Dish antenna mast was close enough to an entry point that I could use it, instead of mounting another mast on the roof. The installation was somewhat easy.

You need to lay out all the cables and components first, figure out how long the runs are and where to mount what. They provide a small diameter 'window' cable, so you don't have to drill through a wall.

The best way to program it requires two people, one reading the signal strength on the amplifier and another to adjust the receiver. They also have an app that allows one person to do it. But, the two person method is preferred.

The results are awesome. I went from one bar of reception in the house, to FOUR bars. Outside, I had two bars. You need to understand that, if you don't have any signal where you are, this device won't help. But, if you have ANY signal at all, this will definitely increase that signal and provide greater coverage in your home.

I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

This device works well. The installation was easy. I did do a temporary installation first to test it out and it worked great. The next step was to install higher on the roof then it did not work as well. Customer service reached out and asked how it was going and showed them my results not being as good. Liam quickly pointed out I was picking up an unsupported band and told me how to disable it. Well worth the investment.

I must admit that after Opening the box I was a bit intimidated and unsure if I could handle this install. I decided to remove all of the components from the box, get the instruction book out, and assemble everything on my living room floor to make sure it all worked before I took on the actual physical installation. For the most part the instructions were pretty good and I did end up getting the system to work. The signal strength improvement was amazing. Basically from 1 bar to 4. The next day Dominic, a tech rep for the company, reached out to me via text and asked me if I had any issues or questions. I called him back and we discussed a couple of my concerns. He was a great help and made me understand in more detail how the app works and how to interpret the signal strength information. Before I purchased this unit I read many of the reviews and was very impressed by the amount of positive feedback related to customer support. Now I see why everyone was so happy. Great product and excellent customer support.

I tried to set the system up according to the instructions, but I wasn't having any success. I sent a text request for help in the Hiboost app on Saturday afternoon, not expecting to hear anything until Monday. Sunday morning, I got a text from Noah in tech support, apologizing for taking so long to respond! We set up a time and traded text messages over several hours. Noah was extremely helpful, and after trying several locations for both antennas, I found a solution that worked. Since then, it has been stable. We get four bars and perfect clarity throughout our first floor, and good cellular data rates (roughly 18/3). Before, we had one or two bars throughout, lots of dropped calls, and very low data rates (roughly 1/0.3 on a good day). Now that I have locked down the locations for the antennas, the next step will be to do a proper installation. The cables provided were extremely useful in "breadboarding" this system, but now the final cables will have to be run through walls, which means custom cable work. NOTE: This system does not use standard cable TV cable and connectors. Cable and connectors for a different standard must be used (50 Ohm cable and Type N connectors). They are readily available, but if you use a TV antenna installer to help with your final installation they might not be familiar with this standard.
