I was really curious about tteokbokki, but also a bit hesitant since I'm the biggest baby ever about spicy food. This flavor is 100% non-spicy, and is a great introduction to the dish if you want to try tteokbokki but can't handle the heat of the regular version. I cooked it in a small saucepan, and it was ready in about 10mins start to finish. DELICIOUS! The creamy onion sauce is perfect, if a bit on the sweet side. The rice cakes had a fun, soft-chewy texture & were very easy to eat. The only drawback is the price; you do get 2 packs, but it still works out to about $6 per serving. The portion size is fairly small, too, much to my leftover-loving self's disappointment. Still, a great occasional treat!

I got the combo set since I had never had tteokbokki before and didn't know enough to pick a specific flavor. I wish I had just gotten two of the sweet and spicy because the cheese flavor was just not for me, I think there was an herb or something in the powder to mix with the water that I really don't like because I couldn't finish my leftovers. Anyways yeah sweet and spicy very good flavor, be careful on the cheese one if you're not expecting anything other than a cheesy flavor.
