I ordered this heated pad for my dog Sadie back on the 7th of December 2018. I have taken some time to really try it out before making my review. Sadie just loves it, she got on it shortly after I plugged it in and it was not even that cold out. I had gone looking for her around the house and could not find her. Then I looked beside the bed where I had placed the Pecute heating pad and there she was out like a light, sound asleep.

Sadie is a 65lb American Stafford-shire Terrier, so by no means is she a small dog yet the heating pad is large enough for her. That was something that I was concerned about when I ordered it. I know how to use a tape measure etc and could picture the size of the Pecute pad in my head, but was still unsure if it would be big enough for her. Sometimes Sadie sleeps in some really strange and awkward looking poses. So I did not know if most of her would be on or off of the pad. Surprisingly she is always on the pad, she is not in one of her long drawn out poses, she is only in poses that keep all of her on the pad. When she is stretched out with her rear legs behind her and her front legs in front of her she is a long dog. No one in their right mind would ever make a heating pad that long ;) So when she is curled up on her heating pad she is quite content to keep all of her body parts on the pad. That does not mean she has to sleep in a weird way as she has several different positions that she assumes when she is using her Pecute heating pad.

Personally for me I like the fact that if I were to leave the house and forget to unplug it I am not worried at all that there would be ANY kind of problem happen. This pad is extremely well made, sort of like I would make one and I always use overkill when I build something. Which means I would have used a very heavy duty cord like this one has. There is worry about it ever coming apart or even Sadie chewing through it and she is what they call an aggressive or power chewer. The pad itself is well made to, it does not seem cheap or flimsy like a couple other pads I have tried in the past. It is water tight and the cover is soft and comfortable This thing is heavy duty and I am sure that it is going to last us many many years. So your money would be well spent if you bought this pad for your furry friend. Heck it may outlast me, that is how well made it is. I am sure that one of my kids will inherit it when I am gone, as it is built to last. Their animals will benefit from the old man's decision to purchase this Pecute heating pad rather than one of the other ones available.

If you need a heating pad for your pet, and I know you folks that live up North this time of year do need one without a doubt. Winter time is the perfect time to get one of these for your pet, but you will find that they will be sleeping on it year round. I am fixing to put Sadie's in her kennel so her little house will seem all the more inviting. We live in South Texas and it really does not get that cold very often. But Sadie is still using the heating pad as her favorite resting place. Well on the Pecute pad or my chest, and I am glad that the Pecute heating pad is taking a lot of the load that my chest used to ;)

So get off the fence and get one of these for your dog. I also think your cats would love it as they could snuggle up in a pile and stay toasty warm. I am going to be getting a new cat soon and I am sure that the cat and Sadie will be curled up on the heating pad.

Exactly what I have been looking for. It had been difficult to find a heating pad that stays on and will not run too hot.

This has been perfect. The item description is accurate and the soft padding keeps my aging pet living well.

I like that I don't have to turn it on or off it stays the perfect temperature for my puppy

By far my favorite heat source for neonatal kittens. Heats up quickly, maintains a good temperature. The cord is long and sturdy. Highly recommend!

We have a 14 year old senior cat who just loves our electric blanket and heating pad. We used to live in a southern state and now live in Colorado full time with large pane windows which he loves but he avoids during the winter months when it's colder. I was reticent to put a regular heating pad in his condo for fear it might burn him it he'd chew it. This is perfect. It is warm but not hot and gets warmer when he's on it. He loves it as you can see from the photos and it's currently in the 20's and 30's in Denver and likely cooler up on higher floors. He sleeps all day curled up comfortably on the pad. It has a second cover for when we wash one too which is great. (FYI the condo was purchased at Chewy and is also much loved). The cord is chew proof and pretty long. One of the greatest pet purchases you can get for your senior pet or kittens/puppies if you're fostering. Alfie is so happy. He had a similar pad at the vet 2 years ago when he was boarding when he was very sick and half his weight and we are thrilled to have found something to make him happy and warm as he ages. He survived that illness and is now the worlds most spoiled cat. Rightly so. :)
