I've only used the dryer once. It's light weight and it does seem to dry my thick hair a little faster than my old drugstore dryer. My point being the higher cost is worth it. I have a hot tool curling iron and I am very happy with it, so I felt the dryer might be good. So far I like it.

This hair dryer was not on the top of my list. However, after doing some research, it felt like the best option. The stand-alone diffusers were all expensive and didn't seem to really diffuse the air all that well according to reviews. This dryer came with one that is right for my curls (2B) and actually does a really good job of diffusing the air so its not as powerful (which I need for my fine hair).
The far infra-red head really does seem to help speed up dry time, but I've also found dryers somehow tend to become less effective as they age so we'll see how this one holds up. It also seems to not damage my hair as much as my old revlon (salon quality) did. So far the best hair dryer I've ever owned and the price can't be beat!
