I am writing this review immediately after opening the package because nowhere on this site (or others) could I get the answer to my question of what exactly was in the box. I will update my review after I have installed.

I have purchased several items from amazon the the past 10 years that were "amazon returns " and they all arrived exactly as described. From "used acceptable " to "used excellent " but never something as expensive as this. But I trusted there description of "used like new" and it arrived exactly as described. All the parts were intact and the materials were in like new condition. Yes I would buy again.

Finding Kerdi Board or any Schluter product locally, as a DIY guy, is proving next to impossible. To be honest I rarely leave feedback and I was very hesitant to order such an expensive product that is only made of foam. I normally order from the big box stores and ship to the store so I can inspect prior to pick up. There seemed to be feedback that indicated this may come damaged and that was exactly what concerned me. Mine arrived perfect!!! It was shipped in the manufacturer kit box (ie. the Schulter packaging). Everything was well protected and damage free. Huge thank you to the supplier making this available to the the DIYer.

The kit was supposed to come with 140 screws and 140 washers. My box was unopened, but only contained 95 screws and 120 washers. Disappointed that after spending $540 I still had to go out and buy more screws and washers.

As far as use goes, the panels are super easy to install.

I've installed a handful of showers and tubs over the years. Durock, Hardie Backer, RedGuard, and even the Kerdi membrane. They all have their pros and cons. But after spending a few extra dollars and going for the Kerdi Board system, I will never use anything else! Gone are the days of lugging heavy cement boards, cutting through cement with a knife, cursing at trying to cut a round hole in a piece of cement board...

Pros:
* The boards are SOOO light, but they are strong enough for 16" stud spacing. They feel secure when on the wall
* The boards are SOOO easy to cut. Easier than drywall!
* Easy to cut shapes. I used a Kerdi niche, and it looks great and was simple to install.
* You can spackle over the board above the tile (if desired)
* Totally waterproof/moldproof
* Grid pattern makes laying tile faster to keep things level and plumb

The only real downside is that it is more expensive than Durock and the Kerdi membrane. But the time savings of cutting and getting it installed is well worth it in my opinion.
