Not worth the money

Nice innovative product and easy to use. Had I done more research I may have opted for another product that does not require another piece to drain the oil that Is kept in the glove box. Certainly not worth $80.00, but easier to use than the original equipment drain plug.
Better than the fire hose

Have a 2019 mustang with a 5.0, and it takes 10 quarts of oil. The OEM drain plug drains that pan very quickly, a fire hose is not far off!
First time I drained that pan I knew it was coming based on car forums and complaints from other owners. I had a 5 gallon bucket from Lowe's handy had the car on ramps and carefully unscrewed it and let it fly while holding the bucket at roughly a 45. It drains with force!
I heard of this product through these car forums as well, has a solution, and it does work. However, it is a bit harsher on the fingers, and a bit tricky, and by comparison the oil really does kind of just trickle out, a long while, to where if you have any wind which is impossible to not have in Oklahoma, it'll end up blowing oil out of your drain pan and on to the ground or anywhere else nearby that isn't the drain pan.
Also, you have to pull this thing out in order to get the last bit of old oil and where all the collected material settles as that won't get forced out with the 9 and 3/4 quarts that had already drained, so you're still left with a bit of a mess. I may end up putting the original back on but for now this will stick. I don't feel the money was wasted, although I did buy two, I hadn't yet changed the oil yet on my 2021 Expedition, so thinking ahead when I ordered this one I ordered one for that as well, turns out the expedition has a standard bolt, rather than the yellow plastic plug with o-rings. So potentially I have two of these that I won't find a used for...

Installed on a 2019 Ford F150 5.0L today. Just did my first oil change. I read all the complaints online about how messy the OEM oil plug can be and they're not wrong. As soon as I loosened the plug enough with a pair of needle nose pliers, oil went spraying everywhere even though I had carefully positioned my catch pan to avoid any issues. The problem is two fold - the oil gushes out with great speed, and the swaybar is right there in front of the opening so it fans the rushing oil everywhere. It's a poor design.
This was a bit pricy but it appears to be high quality aluminum and steel. It was easy to install. The rim right behind the gold cap - the part you grip to install it - has a notch right behind the gold cap at the 12 o'clock position. Aim this at about the 7 o'clock position on the oil pan mouth, push in with some force, and then rotate it while pushing in a bit until the notch I mentioned is at 12 o'clock on the mouth. By this point, it should feel secure. It will very slightly move left to right if you move it around, but it's in there securely just like a regular plug. My 2017 VW GTI had the same plastic plug design with a detent that locks it into place. I know a lot of old school guys prefer a metal pan and plug but honestly I like the plastic a lot more. It's foolproof.
FYI, the Ronin symbol (sort of looks like a Transformers logo) is also supposed to be correctly aligned. The two points at the top of the "head" of the symbol should be pointing straight up. I had previously loosened the gold cap and didn't properly retighten it, so the symbol didn't line up at first and I thought I didn't install it correctly, but the notch was properly oriented. Also, on the bottom of the drain is text which should be positioned at 6 o'clock once installed, and I verified that as well.
I will update after my next oil change since I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'll also update if there are any leaks or issues. I have high hopes for this tool, as the factory plug sucks. $80 is worth saving yourself the aggravation as well and you won't have to buy any more replacement plugs.
Update - I finally got to change my oil. The difference is night and day. First of all, a reminder to keep the drain tool somewhere safe. It's small and easy to lose. I initially kept it in my glove box as recommended but was afraid it would get lost so I put it in the garage near my oil filter wrench and still couldn't find it at first. The tool helps control the flow of oil and makes the drain so much cleaner. The spurt of oil will still hit the sway bar but you can limit that by turning down the flow a bit. Not having to buy a new plug each time is a nice plus. I'm so glad I bought this, having changed the oil both ways. Worth every penny.

When I discovered the plastic oil plug that the car maker installed, I knew there had to be something better. This was just what I wanted. Easy to install and easy to use. Definitely a great buy.
