All metal construction, small in size and "very" bright, will light up a small tree or walkway easily. I added them to my existing Malibu low voltage transformer120/12v. Light come individually boxed but you must assemble the base stake to the light (3 screws). Also, wire connectors are not included so you must purchase separately and LED inside the light is not replaceable, it's an LED chip on a circuit board so if light fails you must replace the whole light assembly. That okay in my case because I only used 6 out of the 8. I would purchase these lights again.
