1. You need a magnifying glass to read the instructions
2. You need a tiny screwdriver to remove the screw from the UV light battery cover (stand)
3. Once you open the bottom light battery cover (stand) pull out the plastic tab that separates the batteries
4. If the UV light does not work, reverse the position of the button batteries
5. the triple AAA batteries go in the handle
6. I really like this product. It works great. It comes with two 5 piece sets of attachments.
if you need to replace the attachments in the future, you can purchase them on Amazon
