With a database second to none in the accuracy and product support based in the USA unlike any of the other products you have to go offshore and get to zero help from these offshore agents ancestry DNA is the premier product I've done over 20 DNA tests and I've also used every other product just for comparison sake none of them can hold a candle to Ancestry DNA and DO NOT ENTERTAIN WASTING MONEY ON 23andMe It's a joke And always twice as expensive for half the information it's not nearly as accurate vague and hardly precise, Unlike ancestry DNA they want you to do all the work! Customer service agents are outsourced and rude as hell! And do not even waste your time telling anybody at ancestry.com that you purchased it through Amazon because they're full of crap. They just want you to buy it from them and illuminate the middleman. There's absolutely no difference whether you buy it from Amazon or from them directly except you save money, so don't even bother to tell them that they don't need to know! Understand that if you do take a test and you mail it any time around a major holiday when there's been a sale Christmas New Year's Thanksgiving, Labor Day, memorial day, Fourth of July they run huge sales, and within two weeks to a month they are inundated with tests being turned in it is going to take longer than normal to get your results. The average result should take six weeks. Do not count on it any sooner if you get it earlier at four weeks which would be the absolute earliest just because of the processes required for getting your results, it cannot be done any sooner than four weeks and that's if they have no back up like they do during the holidays. Allow six weeks and don't get impatient. If you get four weeks you're pleasantly surprised this is absolutely the best test. All of these negative reviews out there from people are uneducated people that do not understand the DNA do not understand their ancestry and do not understand how this works. I've spent the better part of 30 years working with ancestry.com as a consumer, not as an employee, and I can tell you that they are second to none as far as the database size that they have which means everything, they're USA-based customer service, which are super helpful, and the fact that they're not trying to extort money from you and bleed your brain every five minutes and sell your information like 23 and me and some of the others do. You can participate if you want to but I don't even bother with all those surveys about. Can I smelt asparagus in my pee??? Well of course I can smell it. I don't need a test to point out the obvious, that's just stupid; are my eyes green?Oh no they're blue I just looked in the mirror!! if you want to do these other things that's up to you, but don't get pissed off about it. That's for entertainment purposes as far as getting anything else. If you want to get a subscription, you can sign up for an annual one for the world explore, which is anything less than a waste of your money. Honestly, it saves you a great deal over the month-to-month payments. You will still have access to your DNA results completely forever. You don't have to pay anything extra you will still have access to your matches forever you don't have to pay anything extra but if you want to participate in sending emails to other members and getting photographs and doing your family tree you can put your family tree together but understand unless you pay for the subscription. There's nothing to allow you to share information and take information from other people who pay so if you want the service pay for it don't get mad because it's not free go to the genealogical library for 50 hours and sit down and look it up yourself. If you don't want to pay for it, that's what you're paying for the convenience of someone else having done this and you don't have to go to Utah and sit in the genealogical library. Great test and it supports every single piece of data that I have on my family tree. In fact, surprise me with some that I didn't know until I got my results and did for the research and concluded that the test actually was correct and I had no information that I was carrying Sardinian DNA until I went back 300 years on my tree and found out why my test came back with Sardinian DNA it's there. You just have to dig far enough back.

What I liked about this product is how the directions were easy to follow throughout the process. I got pretty fast results from the company. To get full service of this product you have to be a member. However, I was very pleased to see my history of DNA.
