Helps the pup slow down her water intake. Does not stop her from dripping water from her furry face all over the floor. Two small complaints: 1. the anti slip feet can come off easily 2. The seal on the floating disk is imperfect and water has gotten in there

I was skeptical about how much this water bowl would help with cutting down on the amount of drool/excess water on my floor after my dog took a drink. It was legitimately a slipping hazard within 5ft of her bowl. Once we started using the regulated water bowl, I only had to wipe up a dribble here and there. I certainly wasn't worried about slipping after she drank! I am truly amazed at how much of a difference this has made. The construction is solid. The key piece is a floating regulator that only allows the dog to drink small amounts in each 'lap' so they don't take a whole mouthful of water and let it dribble out of their mouth as they go on their merry way. They get all the water they need but it makes them take a little more time. There is a plastic 'stopper' that snaps into place over the floating regulator and it could over time not function as well or break, but we have had this product a month or more and it still works great. No issues at all. So glad I invested in this bowl!

RUN, don't walk on your way to get this product. I have two Labradors and one of them drinks water like a maniac and the other one chugs like Chad at a frat party. This leaves my floors flooded daily. After using these drinking bowls, we are down to a few drops on the floor instead of a full on flood. It's teaching the maniac how to properly drink water and the other one is no longer able to chug. 10/10!

The bowl reduces "water on the floor" by 90%! No, it's not quite perfect; but it is pretty darn close.
Our male English Cocker Spaniel used to gulp down water, and then the extra water would flow out of his mouth and onto the floor. If it wasn't wiped up right away, he would walk on it and leave a bigger mess on the floor. We do get some water still. But, it used to take at least one paper towel per drink to wipe the floor. Now we use part of one paper towel per drink; and the paper towel lasts all day!

We Thought We Found a Solution

Our nearly one year old rough Collie loves to play with water. When we discovered this bowl, we thought our flooded kitchen floor would be a thing of the past. All was well for two and a half weeks. Today our water loving dog discovered that he can suppress the floater with his paw. At first he did it gently. Then he started to really hit it and water went all over. To make matters worse, as he was really getting into the game, he realized that he could also pick up the bowl and spill all of the water. If you have a curious and playful pup like ours who figures out how to "get" to the water, this may not help to address the problem. Also, as I was mopping up the water and examined the bowl, I realized that there was water that had managed to get into the floating disk, which consists of two elements. I had to use a knife to pry the two halves apart to drain the water that had gotten into the disk. Longterm, I would be concerned about bacteria growing in the disk unless it were regularly pried apart and cleaned. We are going back to our regular bowl which is easier to clean.
