You're not going to get 7 miles out of this like stated in the description. If you're about 65lbs, you'll get 1.5 to 2 miles. At 215lbs, you won't see the mile. It's a lot of fun and much safer than earlier hoverboards. The board seems to have decent quality and the electronics work fine. You can connect your phone to it through Bluetooth and play music. It's all treble and no bass. It's also a lot of fun to use a text to speech program to make your child think the board is taking to them. You can't be much further than a few feet away or the Bluetooth won't work. It's a lot of fun, but still really dangerous and falling off hurts bad. Make sure your kids wear a helmet.

Definitely seems built very sturdy but I have to say all this talk about self-balancing is confusing. Bought this for my six-year-old and we are having a tough time, even me, learning how to mount and Dismount without the unit shooting off either forwards or backwards. The control pad is very sensitive and when you're stepping on or off, the slightest touch and it will shoot in whatever Direction. My seven-year-old had it shoot off forwards out from under him when he was dismounting and fell right on his back side and it compressed his back. It was pretty painful for him. Enough for us to be concerned about back injury for a while.

We still have yet to figure out how to mount and Dismount from the unit without it taking off. Having very little included documentation and a poorly written pamphlet is not helpful either.

WOW these things are soo fun! We own two and it was/is a hit for Christmas. They're built pretty sturdy, the lights are bright and the battery lasts about 2hrs of intermittent use.

These hoverboards are FAST, and run smoothly. Highly impressed with this brand.

My kids and I love using these around our house, however I'm unsure of performance if used outside.

These things are still going strong! Kids lost interest in them, but do use occasionally. Also, if your hoverboard goes out of wack and only wants to spin in circles "” level each foot pad (line up the battery indicators in each side) and hold down the power button for 10 seconds, release and you should hear a "single beep", this will let you know the board is now calibrated and level. I'd still buy again for $80-$100 but to be honest these things get old, definitely some short lived fun though!
