Great Conditioner, but not so much for nitrites.

Works perfectly fine for chlorine and ammonia. Sad thing is I bought this because it advertises lowering nitrites, but from what I have seen on my tests this is not the case. As you can see In the picture provided, the first test on the right is before any was added. The middle one is after half a cap was added. And the one on the left was the last tested after another 3/4 cap was added. This tank is 10 gallons so it shouldn't need that much. You can see in the tests (included with chart, second line shows nitrite levels) that the nitrites not only haven't changed at all, they're still in the dangerous levels. Wish this would have worked for the main purpose I bought, but the reason I'm still giving stars is because it does work fine as a normal water conditioner.

This has done wonders for my tank! I had recently had some issues after my filter died and all the debris in the sponge spread back in the water and caused a die off of several fish. This happened while I was gone and wasn't aware for a couple days. When I saw my tank I was very worried about my snails and African dwarf frog. They were sluggish and coated in a film. Doing a large water change and switching to this product saved my tank. My frog and snails came back to full energy and my live plants seemed healthier than ever. Water was crystal clear and beautiful! I won't go back to any other product now!
