This is a durable and convenient saw. I've been using it steadily since the day it arrived. If you already own DeWalt cordless tools, then you can appreciate the fact that your existing tools batteries will pop right into this saw (this particular setup does not include a battery). It has plenty of cutting strength, and comes with a blade to get you started.

Bought the DCS334B DeWalt Jig Saw as a bare tool only for $99 on sale.
It replaced an old corded Jig Saw and I have to admit it was a nice upgrade. The led light that lights where you are cutting, the variable speed trigger and the ability to use DeWalt 20 & 60 volt flex batteries is a nice bonus.
Comes with a single DW3753H T-shank wood blade that goes in by opening the front arm and inserting all the way back until you see the blade on the other end (make sure it goes all the way back and sits on the roller).
There are 7 speed setting that go up to 3,200 strokes per minute. There is a cutting action switch that goes from normal up/down to 3 levels of aggressive orbital forward cutting action (rough rip cuts thru soft wood).
If you want to do miter style angle cuts (15°, 30° or 45°) it is a 5 step non-obvious method. Unlock long black angle arm, slide shoe forward, rotate, slide shoe back, lock angle arm.
DeWalt gives you an anti splinter clear insert that only works with flush cut jig saw blades and no angle cut. It'll be the first thing you lose. I wish dewalt had a hidden spot for it inside the anti-mar black shoe cover when not in use (most times).
You can buy an optional dust extractor that fits on the shoe and lets you attach a vacuum.
Make sure to scan the QR code on the back of the tool where the battery goes to register your 3 year warranty.
