In the 70's, I used to wear shorts that had only a 3 inch inseam (ie Larry Bird), so the new purchase of a 5 inch inseam is just about where I want it, a 4 inch would have been better. I chose a size larger as I have thicker thighs and wanted the extra room to handle bending over and squatting. The mesh inner lining is a still under consideration, depending on if it overstretches- might ditch that and wear a jock to cover.
Well worth 25 bucks!

Great shorts! Similar quality to Patagonia baggies but better fit! They fit somewhere between Patagonia baggies and chubbies brand shorts. Great length if you don't like long baggy swim trunks. They are rugged enough for trail running and mountain biking, and great for swimming and beach days. I immediately cut the net out, but that's a personal preference. I'm 5'9 150lbs athletic build and these fit perfectly in Medium.
