Good while it lasted.

The media could not be loaded. I had a terrible time conquering the software but now that that's behind me, this seems to be a fairly good unit.
My trouble was customizing the charge parameters which took forever to figure out that turned out to be simply switching from the battery type which is not modifiable to "user", then I got control of the settings.
This unit has nice sturdy hookup terminals I hear are real bad on most of the cheaper controllers with a large heat sink & appears to be quality built.
I've had this hooked up & charging my batteries for over a month & except for the charge parameters not to my liking for awhile but now are, this unit has been performing just fine.
I'd give it another star if it had a setting for equalizing frequency. I have no idea how often this goes into equalize mode but that's an important parameter that should be in there as a user definable & isn't on this. I've added a video to give you a visual on the issue I had with it
Update: It been about a couple years I've had this & the other day it just quit working unexpectedly. Fortunately I got insurance on it & they are replacing it so I'd suggest you do the same. Otherwise it did well while it lasted.

Im using 2 of these, one for a permanent install on my shed for remote power the other is a mobile unit in my truck. Im a solar newbie and this was easy to set up and use. Just read the instructions wire it up properly and you are in business.
Product packaging is top shelf, instruction manual is clear and concise. The unit itself appears to be quite rugged, yet has great asthetics.
I purchased these after reading positive reviews. Glad I chose these!

Equipment seems to work, Epever online presence is broken in many ways

The monitoring add-ons and Epever's cloud service has been a learning process, butI've updated my review from 1 to 4 stars. The Wifi Dongle does continue to lose connectivity, which is a hassle, but at least partially Google fibers wifi router's fault. When dis-connected, the epever wifi dongle will need to be reconnected manually, and the takes at least an hour to resync data so that you can view data again. The Charge controller itself seems to be working well. It's handling 1200 wats of panels, and charging two lifepo4 12v 200 amp hour batteries wired in series to 24v. The data app and cloud page should probably be considered a value add.
Excellent Controller

These were virtually plug and play! The #5 wire connectors were smaller than what I needed. I have 4 gauge wiring so I had to trim a little. The auto-rotating screens are annoying, Can't really read them do to contrast and not being backlit. If I could manually make the screens move to the next item I would have a chance at reading the screen. Not all of us are 20 years old anymore. I downloaded the station monitor software from Epever with the 485 cables I bought separately. I Was able to connect to the two controllers without too much fuss. The software once I got the hang of using it; made configuring the controllers a breeze. If the software had actual usage instructions it would have saved me a day. The software has a logging section that I saw used on YouTube, but I can't get it to work. I wrote to Epever, and they explained that the logging software is incompatible with the Tracer A series. That was really important to me, and I might have bought the Morningstar had I known this. I might if I can convince the wife to let me do it, I will buy the elog01. An elog01 is required for each controller,.You will also need Excel to import the data to. The Mppt portion of this controller does an incredible job. The output is phenominal, and the company that sent this too me is great to work with.
Good for high voltage panels. A bit pricey though.

I got this because my two 60 watt panels had a very high "VOC" (open circuit voltage)
97 volts!
My cheaper MPPT charge controller could only handle up to 50 volts. Most modern 24 volt panels are 37 volts, well below that.
But many "grid tie" panels are 67 volts or higher, requiring these more expensive charge controllers, which can handle up to 100 volts.
I liked that you could program the battery type. (Sealed, Gel, Flooded, Li Ion)
I did not like that you can't program the controller to shut off when the batteries reach a specified voltage.
It is preset, I'm not sure at what voltage.
Overall, a good value if you have high voltage panels. It displays the battery voltage and the panel amps coming in.
