Product works well after 1-2hrs on multiple paint layers, but use with good ventilation. Product used on wood with very old, multiple paint layers. Applied with a thin layer for 24hrs and although no notable paint bubbling, paint could be scraped off cleanly and down to the wood. More generous application resulted in a more "bubbling" appearance in 1-2hrs and removal of all paint with scraping.
There is a strong citrus-like smell that is not as bad as traditional paint strippers, but if used indoor, without good ventilation, it quickly becomes overpowering. As per traditional paint strippers, use with good ventilation and breathing mask.

It smells awful, but it is effective in removing old paint. I just with it had as pleasant a smell as CitriStrip.

I have a old File cabinet I trash picked in college in 2007ish. It was tan and missing its cam lock and what not. About 10 years ago I decided to give it a black paintjob. It wasn't the best but it made it look better. Well I recently decided to give it a new finish, get rid of some rust on the bottom and whatnot and decided to buy this product. I sprayed some on a test spot (and this stuff is like super thick and hard to get out of the bottle) and left it over night since I was in no hurry. This stuff not only ate the spray paint, it ate the original factory finish. I am very impressed. I can scrap it off with minimum effort.

Using this product to strip varnish off an antique dresser, and it's making the process go really fast. Was using a different product but ran out, and the difference in the effectiveness of this is like night and day. Found out fast that it will melt foam craft applicators in a matter of SECONDS, so apply with a cheap chip brush with natural bristles. Get chemical resistant gloves if stripping a big piece (I used it without gloves but used a scraper with changeable blades, so it really didn't get on my skin, and what did get on me didn't burn it anything) and an old glass jelly jar or ceramic bowl to pour it into for applying to small areas.
