They work. At the time they $13.59 and at that price a slamming deal. At the time of writing this they were $19.99 and perhaps not such a great deal.
Everything about them was commensurate to the price point. The sound was good for $13. The mic was good for $13. The external noise dampening was good for $13.
At $20 I might be tempted to look for something better in each of those categories. At the $35.99 that is the list price I would pass entirely.
If you can wait... Put them in your cart. Wait for them to go on sale. Then buy them when they do.

This is the fourth set of these headphones that we've owned. You cannot beat the price. We originally bought two, one for me and one for my husband. My husband's got sat on so he stole mine because he uses them more on his games than I did. Those lasted a year and started shorting out so we bought a new set. That set lasted another 2 years before they went to the wayside, and we just purchased another set. Even though they haven't lasted terribly long, the sound quality through both the headphones and the mic is amazing for the price you're paying. It really cannot be beat. I don't mind giving them $25-30 bucks every couple of years for that quality.
