Decent MP3 player
Nex✓ Verified Purchase•December 23, 2023
I put a bunch of music on this thing, and I will admit that I barely use the thing, but so far I have only charged it once, and it's been sitting there for a long time on the shelf, and still reports a full battery. I took it apart to see the innards, looking for any major design flaws, and it doesn't appear to be that poorly engineered, either.
The UI is a nightmare to navigate, changing some of the controls you'd expect from an ipod clone device to be different just for the sake of making it different. The center click button, which you'd expect to work like an enter button in the main UI is actually the back button, and the top menu button on the keypad is mapped to be the enter. It'd definitely be better if it had homebrew software on it.
The screen is also nothing to write home about, I wouldn't use the video playback feature of this device at all, instead, I'd just opt to use it for its fairly decent audio output if you want a cheap MP3 player that you don't have to worry so much about getting damaged, thanks to the low price tag. It also might make a decent MP3 player for a child that you don't want to give some expensive, fancy device to, especially if they tend to break things!

Great starter device, if you have a small music library.

Got this as a temporary replacement while I save up for a nicer player. Looks good, the UI feels very early 2000s, and isn't exactly intuitive. But once you learn how things tick, it's decent. The instruction manual is just the basics, really. I had to go online to look for how to access the shuffle option.
It's shuffle is...okay, gotta wait about a minute or so between songs as it loads, however every time I turn it back in it's the same shuffle list. Weird.
I also should add I'm using a 64gb card so I have a lot of music, which might factor into the loading times.
Some of the products were listed to play MP4s/AAC files, and wasn't sure about this one, but can confirm this one can't do them. If I had intended this to be a permanent player for me, I'd probably be more upser, as you'd need to convert them.
It's great if you need like a cheap fix, or want to give the kids a music player that won't break the bank if broken/lost, then this is a good option. If you're more concerned about files and want a more robust player, I'd say do your research, probably look into something a little more higher end.

Not the best but not the worst either

Pros: Music sounds fantastic, plays a lot of mp3 music that other mp3s won't play, great battery life, small and portable, cheap.
Cons: Sometimes start a new song before finishing the old one, can't rewind or fast forward, doesn't support MP4 videos as it states, navigating is kinda wonky and takes some getting used to, the headphones that come with it are very short and the wires attached to the actual bud that goes inside your ear clack louder than the music, doesn't come with sd card. No Bluetooth either.
All in all I can honestly say it's worth the price. The controls take some getting used to and you definitely need your own headphones and sd card but it's a great MP3 player once you get past those things. I'm happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cheap MP3 player just for your music.

Solid Budget MP3 Player

Works exactly as expected: put the mp3 files on the tf card, play them on the device.
I used it for ice skating when I don't want to carry a phone. It's light and the sound quality is good. The interface is a little clunky, but it's easy enough to get used to. You can build playlists (tediously) on the device, but it also supports playing by folders which can accomplish the same thing.
The device itself is a nice value, but the software could be a little better.
