The first day I received this, I put two large cups of ice and two garage temperature 24oz drinks in it, put the backpack outside (August, So Cal. 102'), and let it sit for 4 hours. Most of the ice melted but the drinks were freezing cold. There wasn't much ice to start so it's pretty impressive. More importantly tho, IT DOESN'T LEAK! See pic.
My only issue is it was delivered wrapped up in a thin bag. Not a huge issue but I can tell it had been that way for a while since the padding in the back now has a crease so it won't stand straight up. Also in pic. Not enough to remove a star.

Good insulation, Cheap Zipper

Update: After using this 5 days a week for almost two years I'm updating my review and adding another star. This continues to serve it's purpose and the zipper has not broken. This has been the perfect size for my lunch, and my few things I bring to work every day (I don't carry computer in this). Still keeps the food cold and has been easy to wash out when I spilled food. I highly recommend this OUTXE Cooler Backpack.
Love that this keeps my ice packs frozen for 12 hours while the pack is indoors in my wall locker. Sometimes I don't get a lunch break until my shift is over and the lunch compartment is still keeping my food refrigerated. Don't like the cheap zipper. From day one there was a crooked plastic tooth that is a sticky spot when zipping. I know that will break one day and I won't be able to zip it anymore. I bought this in November of 2021 for $27. I waited two months to write the review. I'm glad I got it, and when the zipper breaks I'll buy another one to replace it (and hope I get lucky with a better zipper).

This is a great lunch bag with ample storage for small essentials or edc items. I especially like the zippered side pockets that came on the first backpack lunch bag that I ordered previously. I ordered this one (which does not have the zippered side pockets only the mesh pockets) because the storage compartment on the back ripped on one side and underneath the bag. I contributed the rip from me maybe putting bulky items in it which loosened the thread over time. This was after having the bag for a year or so. The material of the backpack does feel solid and sturdy that's why I ordered another one. And actually appears to be slightly more spacious and stronger than the one that I had before. This was my SECOND PURCHASE of this style of backpack lunch bag and would recommend it to others who are looking for a worthwhile backpack style lunch bag to carry not only their food items but everyday carry items as well.
