I just came back from a river rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. Unfortunately the weather wasen't as nice as expected, quite a bit of rain and wind. Fortunately I had bought the FWG suite. Without it I would have suffered considerably maybe not survived the trip (that's probably stretching it a little bit). Yes, it made all the difference and the fact that it doesn't breath is exactly what you need. Anything that lets air out also lets water in. Several of my boats mates had fancier higher priced outfits and were always wet, I stayed try underneath. The color was a little "louder" then expected but it helps to be seen and found if lost or overboard. Unbelievable value for the price.

I found this rain suit to be quality made as far as materials and craftmanship. The jacket fits beautifully but the pants..... there's no way these are the same size as the jacket. I bought the XL, and the pants are tight on my husband, who wears a medium. If this sizing issue is addressed, this will be about the most perfect rain suit I have ever owned.

I needed a rain suit last-minute last October when I saw the 10-day forecast ahead of a gig in New Orleans. Amazon was lightning fast in getting this to me, as always! Thank goodness I got this because a surprise tropical storm hit us on day three, which stepped up the game. I stayed warm and dry.
Another benefit was the fact I could actually fold the suit back up after I dried it out, and the suit fit it back into it's bag. I am not a great packer but I like that I can keep it in the bag and it fits back in the backpack I've used it since then and am happy to report that it didn't develop any odd smell as some rain suits do. If you've ever been cursed with the "puke" smell that some raincoats have developed, this is a good thing.

It's not 100% waterproof. In cold weather, I wear a jacket underneath and it's damp when I take off the raincoat.
