Clever idea "” uses your iPad display to superimpose on your adjacent workspace. I use it for pencil drawings.
Not a substitute for a good projector, which enables larger and variable formats, and does limit one to a flat table surface. So, the drawing board is not suitable for large scale or wet media, such as acrylic paint.
All in all, it does as claimed and makes photo-to-small-format portrays in graphite or charcoal very easy.
I rate it a 5 with a straight face.

We just received the tracing doohickey thing yesterday and opened the box this morning. Kids needed something to do since it's over 100° here in Texas. They've spent all day taking turns on this thing! It's exactly what i expected and hoped for. They just looked up an image on the phone (hint: turn auto screen rotation off) and zoomed in till it was the size they wanted). Here are a few pic my son made today. We are going to use it to decorate rocks to leave at the park and make cards for friends.

This product is just too easy to use and a lot of fun. You do not have to be able to draw to enjoy it. I turn my smart phone upside down and place it in the slot. For me, and I am right handed, it is more comfortable to turn the holder where the image is shown to the right, rather than straight on in front of me.
I have seen reviews stating people who use it are not drawing, they are merely tracing. So what? I do not think anyone who uses it intends to claim artistic greatness, nor will it will ever make an artist out of anyone who cannot draw, but it is fun to play with. One piece of advice: use a little piece of tape to secure the paper on which you are drawing so it will not slip, because, once it slips the least bit, it is very difficult to get your drawing paper back in the exact place it was when you started.

It has been a good alternative for a projector. It does a great job, but can be challenging to use sometimes bc of cookie positions. I have def. Gotten my moneys worth using as part of my baking and decorating process. I would recommend.

It is a little awkward to get your hand positioned to draw near the interior of transparent panel, but it does what I'd hoped it would do. Quality of materials was better than expected.
