We bought this in preparation for a mountain hiking trip with our toddler. He threw a bit of a fit the first time we put him in, but every time since he has loved riding in the carrier. He seems comfortable, leaning to the left side to see around my head. It has been comfortable for me too, though it does get a little sweaty on the back and where the straps are. Most of the load is carried by the hip strap, but I haven't really taken the time to get all of the adjustments set for much else either. It has been comfortable for me, even in the +85°F heat with high humidity. Our son weighs ~30 lbs and I have not been overly fatigued, beyond being a bit out of shape, while carrying him.

I looked and looked and looked and finally found a carrier that I am comfortable wearing where my baby can fall asleep in it safely AND I have a spot for a hydro pack so I don't have to mess with carrying water bottles. I ordered it a month ago and we have used it on little local trails and we have used it to go up Mt. Konocti and around Anderson Marsh in California! Best purchase I've made in a while.
