Extremely sharp, well-made, and sturdy. They seem like a high quality product and cut through my big toe nails effortlessly. Even though they are marketed as wide mouth cutters, I didn't understand they would be wider than most of my toe nails (all but my big toes). I thought they would just open up wider, which didn't concern me. But I find them very difficult to cut my toenails, and have to cut at sharp angles, and avoiding my skin. It just never occurred to me that a toenail cutter would be too wide for me, but maybe they are perfect for specialized applications. The quality is certainly good!
