Finally the one that works

I have to write this great review because the cutter deserves it. To make a long story short- its not the first one. I have tried others and they all where toys. This one is a tool. It's basically a professional cutter in small body for a household kitchen. All of the important parts are made of stainless steel. The frame is a paintaed cast aluminum, same as in large professional cutters. Very well made. The cutting plate is a bit fassy to replace but a wing nut attachment is very secure. The 3/8" push plate that came with the cutter is plastic but attaches to the body securely and in a split second. The 1/4" cutting set which I purchased separately is even better because the push plate is metal, not plastic. Needless to say it works as it looks - flawlessly. Also, the fact that you can choose the size or sizes of cutting plates is a big plus. Highly recommend.

First, I want to thank fellow user Brandon for his review at >. It gave me a better idea of what to expect. I have some physical limitations and based on other reviews would have thought this to be like a hot knife through butter. Having said that...
EASE OF USE:
This does require some strength to push it through. It was a little awkward for me at first, but after a couple of tries, got it through and it became easier.
ASSEMBLY FOR USE:
As for the assembly, putting it together is a cinch. Insert the round handle into the threaded end of the flat handle and tighten. Then, lay the device on its base (meaning the suction cup on the counter), pull the push mechanism all the way back, insert the flat handle with the bend pointing toward the blades, line up the holes in the handle with the holes in the mechanism, insert the screws, tighten them, and you're done.
MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY:
For the unit itself, as one reviewer, Baby Mama (assuming it was Baby Papa in the video) noted in a video, it would be better if there were two suction cups, one on each end. I had some issues with it sliding on me while trying to push down to push the potato through. So, a suction cup on each end would be helpful, in my opinion. I just place a lightweight microfiber cloth under the other side where the blade is for helping stabilize that end.
The overall unit is sturdy, and I don't feel like it's going to just pop apart while pushing down.
It's relatively lightweight, comes with two different blades and corresponding pushers, which is great if you want to make different things (like French fries or zucchini fries).
This makes it incredibly easier than cutting by hand, and more precise. Previously, I was using a mandoline for the slices, then using a slice to gage the width of the sticks for the fries and it just felt too laborious. This streamlines the entire thing and is safer than the mandoline. (While I am an experienced mandoline user, the SNL horror show always runs through my mind while using it for some reason.)
One thing I did notice is this says it is designed for sweet potatoes, but I tried with a small piece of one instead of trying a whole one, since most potato cutters CANNOT properly cut them because of how tough they are. And this didn't seem to be able to do it, either. As I said, I have some physical strength issues, so maybe that is why, but I shouldn't need THAT much strength.
OVERALL:
I think this is a great product. It's at a reasonable price point for what you get. It's sturdy, relatively easy to use, and actually fulfills it's purpose. I'd definitely recommend it. But, I did have to take it down a star for, in my opinion, needing the second suction cup.
Thank you Sopito.

I bought this veggie cutter to cut poatatos into small bits to make fried potatos. I cut the potatos into the 'fries' shape then turn them 90 degrees, put then back in the cutter and press them through again which produces 1/2 inch cubes and various smaller sized bits. I use my left hand to hold down the suction cup end and my right hand to push down on the handle. The blades are sharp and the process works gracefully. Occaisionally, with potatos that are harder, I have to start with the handle all the way up leaving a gap between the potatato and the pusher block and contact the potato after a "running start". The frame and all the parts are solid and don't flex even during the running start on the hard potatos.
Well pleased

I recently purchased a cutter of Temu for around $20. It was set up like this cutter but not as sturdy. It fell apart with the first use. So back to good ol Amazon to do some research on cutters and look at reviews. I finally settled on this cutter and not one bit sorry that I did. It's very well made and easy to set up and clean. On an item such as this quality is important. A great value for the price.
Great gift
