Easy to install I upgraded the screws and the product improved, I used studs to mount and wood screws are more secure than the drywall and anchor in my opinion.

I've got two sets of these. They work fine. I have them outside and have to use a strap to help hold them on. It can get windy here, so they can blow off the hooks. There good, I get it, I bought second set after the first, so I condenser it a good buy

I researched ways to store our new kayaks. Many people prefer to install a hoist and pull them up. We have a 2 car garage and only park one car in it - so I was not worried about lack of space and decided to use the hooks to store them on the wall. There are several hooks on the market for much greater price. I decided to go with these. They arrived on time and I installed them on the wall. Our garage wall is made of cement blocks - so you will need a masonry bit to drill the holes. They come with the screws and the plastic part that goes into the hole to make the screws stay tight. Installation for all four hooks took about one hour, primarily due to drilling time. The hooks are strong and are perfect for our kayaks. As you can see in the picture, they hold the kayaks tight against the wall - they do not fall or tip. Our kayaks are Tamarak Lifetime, the length is 10 feet and they are 30 inches wide, about 11 inch thick.

These storage hooks do a good job holding our kayaks. They are reasonably priced, strong (not sure about heavy-duty though) and coated so they look nice and hopefully won't rust. The only point of improvement would be to add a third screw to keep them in place, other wise they tend to move when placing the kayaks on. My husband added a 3rd screw close to the elbow which accomplished a more secure and stable mounting (see photos).
