Original step motor failed after 18 months while on the road. RV dealers and repair places I checked quoted $500+ and a week or more to fix. Got this in two days. This was a near perfect fit replacement motor at a fraction of the OEM price. Note that the drive shaft is about a 1/4" longer on the new one, but it did not affect installation or function. It's about a 40 minute job to replace: from under the steps with steps down and locked, disconnect leads to motor; remove three screws (mine were 8mm) holding motor, taking care to catch screws and spacers, and remove motor; install new motor with spacers; connect leads to motor; lubricate gears and hinges; back out and open/close the door to operate/test. Worked great for me. I'll be sending Kwikee a bill for the failed motor and install as it was within 2 year warranty period.
