Great riding protection
Rod✓ Verified Purchase•January 19, 2024
Don't ride my hyper escooter without it on, I rely on it for protection, and it looks BADASS when your wearing it. You feel more secure with it on while riding!
Great as expected!

I got this one to ride my e scooter cuz you gotta dress for the slide not the ride and this is perfect its great as advertised, i will say you will catch a lot of eyes looking at you in public while wearing it but im ok with that, it's comfortable and matches to your body despite me being a bigger guy
Great project for great price

Sizing chart said I should be a Medium, but based on comments saying order three sizes larger, I only ordered an XL because it was the largest size available. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get anything larger because I'd be swimming in it!
One size up should be sufficient. At two sizes up, the XL fits me (5'10", 160lbs), and I can comfortably wear a long-sleeve cold weather underarmour under the mesh. The thing is pretty much unwearable without the back protector though, as the chest piece cannot be secured in place and the shoulders will tilt forward on you, as they also attach to the back protector. Perhaps a Medium or Large would"˜ve reduced this drooping effect and it could be wearable without the back protector, but you're going to want to be able to secure things in place if you want to be comfortable at all.
Mine shipped with a slight tear in the foam by the left shoulder pad. I don't really care and won't do anything about it, but kind of annoying.
Once you tighten down everything (which you will if you order up sizes), the fit is comfortable for extended periods of time. There is solid coverage on the expected areas, everything else is thin lycra mesh.
I don't use the thumb loops because I have long arms and it pulls all the pads out of position. I didn't buy it for the thumb holes anyway, but if you're cosplaying or something, worth knowing.
Overall good bang for your buck, and you probably dont need to oder more than a size or two up. Unless you're oddly proportioned or something.

Using for Mountain Biking and I find it to be decent - read review and see pics.

This is my second purchase of sub $60 dollar upper body armor for mountain biking and riding the streets etc. Funny thins is that I noticed my review for another product here on amazon from a different seller was on this product also. Could that be that they are from the same source in china? I do not know. First why a second one in less that 6 months? - I gave the first one to my son for him to use when he rides the trails. Why not buy the same one again? I decided I liked the color scheme of this one better and I also wanted to see if it would be any different in its construction.
Was it as expected? Yes. I am 5'11" and weigh about 245 lbs. I typically wear a 2XL t-shirt. I ordered the 3XL product based on my chest measurements. Provided you adjust the straps it fits snug and allows for all the movement I could need. You do have to attach several if not all of the straps when you first get it. Same as the other one I purchased.
Pictures explained: The picture on the wood bench is the dressing room at the local trails. The next four pictures are of me with my cell phone pointed at the mirror in my basement bathroom. Paint me a private person so I blotted out my face. These pics are to show the size on my body. The jacket fits nice and has a decent mesh that the pads attach to. I like the articulating back and do not see why you would remove it other than to clean it.
I found an UnderArmour heat gear shirt long sleeve to wear under the armor. It was not that expensive and no chaffing or rubbing issues. In the pictures with me in it you will see wrist protectors. Those DO NOT come with the jacket. I was going back out to ride so I did not take them off for the pics. You can see my big old belly in the side shot. You have enough material in both the jacket itself and the "kidney belt" to attach with no issues.
Overall I rated it a 4 star as the pads have very little actual padding behind the hard plastic outer shell. This is probably a "you get what you pay for" type of comment, however, it would be nice to see and feel more padding between you and the outer plastic.
I do not ride motorcycles so I will not comment on that. I will say that for weekend warrior bike riding it fits my fine. I will upgrade to a EVS jacket when funds allow - but I would buy this one again if I needed another.
Good luck with your decision!
