My wife had a tea kettle for many years and then something happened and it broke. This was a sad day, my wife really liked that kettle.

I looked at many different replacement kettles but could not decide on one. So, I asked for our daughter's help. We both decided that this would be the best replacement.

My wife is now happier. As we all know: happy wife, happy life.

I am very happy with this kettle, both for its style and functionality. The clean lines and stainless steel look great in the kitchen. It works well on the induction stove-top. Water heats quickly, the whistle tone is loud but not overbearing. Handle stays cool for pouring, too.

I needed to replace our tea kettle and wanted one with several features: heat-resistant handle, whistle, stay-open spout, rust resistant interior. This one meets all the criteria! I have tried many, including expensive premium brands, and it's the ONLY one that actually has a heat-resistant handle. I can pick it up right from the stove, although I don't recommend holding it close to the front -- it's cooler toward the middle and back of the handle. The kettle is lower and wider than most, with a flat bottom, so it heats quickly. The removable lid seals tightly and is large enough to let you get your hand and a dishcloth or sponge inside to clean it. There is one button to open the spout and another to close it, so it stays open to pour hot water without having to hold the button down. The whistle is loud enough to hear from another floor of the house, but is a pleasant tone so not annoying. Two things to note visually: I bought the red color and the kettle color is a deeper red than the handle. I don't mind, but it may be a concern to others. Also, our gas stove has cast iron grates over the burners. My husband has already scratched the finish, so be sure to place it on the stove carefully. I would purchase this again without hesitation! I spent SO much time reading reviews and looking at kettles before buying this one. It's been a few months and I still love it! The whistle is loud enough to hear from other rooms, it has held up great, and it's super easy to use. I fill it up from the spout (with the whistle lifted open) instead of removing the cover under the handle. Handle doesn't get too hot to pour. Overall, really pleased with this!
